September 15, 2017

Media programming almost always includes religious programs, whether Muslim or Christian, yet most reviews of Senegal’s media barely hint at the existence of religious media. This document, written by Mouhamadou Abdoulaye Barro, a journalist and coordinator of the Réseau des journalistes pour l’information religieuse (Network of Journalists for Religious Information, REJIR), explores the evolution of religion in Senegal’s media and the current religious discourse, highlighting the contributions of the Senegal’s different religious groups in the media.
