Fes Forum and Festival of World Sacred Music

Since 2007, Katherine Marshall has offered reflections from her participation as a panelist and co-moderator in the Fes Forum—an integral part of the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music held annually in Fes, Morocco. Her reports have been featured by the Huffington Post, among other news outlets. Each year, forum organizers select a unifying theme, often one relevant to the intersection of faith, Moroccan culture, and globalization. Over the course of several days, participants discuss key topics associated with the central theme. Interspersed with artistic performances, these discussions provide a unique outlet for scholarly reflection and analysis within the broader Fes Festival. Blog posts, essays, and other content produced by Katherine that were featured by the Berkley Center and World Faiths Development Dialogue can be found below.
