Consuelo Amat Matus received her master's degree from Georgetown's Conflict Resolution Program in 2011 and is pursuing a Ph.D. in political science at Yale University. During her time at the Berkley Center, she worked as a graduate research assistant with Professor Lise Morjé Howard on issues related to civil war termination, amnesty, and post-conflict institution building. Consuelo was also granted a research fellowship from the center, which enabled her to spend three weeks in Nairobi, Kenya mapping various local peace initiatives aimed at preventing political violence. She has a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
