Donald E. Miller is Firestone Professor of Religion and executive director of the Center for Religion and Civic Culture at the University of Southern California. Miller’s research focuses on global religious trends, new patterns of religious practice, and genocide. He is the author or editor of numerous books, including Global Pentecostalism: The New Face of Christian Social Engagement (2007), Finding Faith: The Spiritual Quest of the Post-Boomer Generation (2008), and GenX Religion (2000). He led a five year Templeton Foundation-funded research initiative that culminated in the publication of Spirit and Power: The Growth and Global Impact of Pentecostalism (2013, co-edited with Kimon H. Sargeant and Richard Flory). Miller was also a part of the Christianity and Freedom Project headed by the Berkley Center's Religious Freedom Project. He holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.
