Dr. Rafael Lucio Gil has served as the director
of the Xabier Gorostiaga, S.J. Education Institute at Central American University (Universidad Centroamericana, UCA) for 15
years. He is also a doctoral coordinator for the Social Sciences and Humanities
Program for Ph.D. students at the UCA. He received his doctoral degree in Education
and his master’s degree in Education Sciences from the Autonomous University of
Barcelona in Spain.
