The Berkley Center hosted a meeting of the Witherspoon Institute's Task Force on International Religious Freedom, directed by Berkley Center Senior Fellow Thomas Farr. The Witherspoon Institute is an independent research center in Princeton, New Jersey that works to enhance public understanding of the moral foundations of free and democratic societies. The task force is part of Witherspoon's Center on Religion and the Constitution, which is directed by Notre Dame Law School Professor Gerard V. Bradley. The mission of the task force is to project a reasoned, compelling vision of religious freedom onto the scholarly, political, and legal stage. Its primary goal is to demonstrate to skeptics at home and abroad why religious liberty is vital to justice, human dignity, and ordered liberty. The task force is composed of scholars and policy thinkers with experience in religion and international affairs.
