Economic Justice in an Unfair World

October 26, 2006

In recent years many academics, activists, and even policymakers have claimed that the global economy is "unfair," especially to developing countries and the poor living within them. But what would a "fair" global economy look like? On that question there is significant debate. In this talk, which drew on his book Economic Justice in an Unfair World (2006), Ethan B. Kapstein described a politically feasible approach to bringing greater fairness to the global economy.

This lecture was part of an ongoing series on "Ethics and International Affairs" co-sponsored by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and the Mortara Center for International Studies.
