Faculty Seminar on Religion and Development: Ethical Issues around US Foreign Assistance

This faculty seminar, hosted by Chloe Schwenke, addressed the many problems associated with foreign assistance. This event was a part of the Seminar on Religion and Global Development forum, inaugurated in 2006. It is a forum for Georgetown faculty and members of the policy community to meet and discuss questions at the intersection of religion and international development.

This event was co-sponsored by the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs and the Mortara Center's Initiative on International Development.

Dr. Chloe Schwenke is a human rights activist, researcher, development practitioner, and academic with over three decades of international experience. She previously was director of the Global Program on Violence, Rights and Inclusion at the International Center for Research on Women and vice president for global programs at Freedom House.
