Many of today’s international crises have a strong religious component, yet media coverage often omits or oversimplifies these complexities and nuances. A deep examination of religious and cultural traditions and practices is critical to address today’s global challenges. With this mission in mind, the Berkley Center selects one Georgetown student annually to receive the Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellowship. Projects investigate or illuminate the religious dimension of an international or domestic issue, bringing to light what is often overlooked, untold, or misunderstood. Applications open on December 1, 2022 for the summer 2023 round of fellowships.

This online information session offered a chance to learn what the fellowship entails and how it is structured. It was also an opportunity to ask Pulitzer Center staff and Ryann Craig, the Berkley Center's director of student programs, questions about application requirements and expectations.
