Religion and the Nuclear Scenario
September 28, 2007
This seminar examined the ways that religion can impact a nuclear exchange in the Middle East, although South Asia also entered the conversation. To do so it drew on expertise from the fields of political science, Middle East studies, religion, and psychology. Discussants explored the extent to which ideology, emotion, and rationality would influence such a nuclear exchange and examined what effects religion would have on political decisions concerning nuclear war.
