Elisa Massimino Featured in the Washingtonian's 500 Most Influential People of 2023

Senior Research Fellow Elisa Massimino was featured in the Washingtonian's list of the 500 Most Influential People of 2023 for her work on pressing the Biden administration to deliver on its promise to put human rights at the center of American foreign policy by closing Guantanamo Bay and holding human rights abusers accountable.

Rabbi Dr. Abraham Skorka Committed to Interreligious Dialogue, Faith, and Human Rights

Rabbi Dr. Abraham Skorka, a senior research fellow for Jewish studies and Jewish-Christian relations at Georgetown University, received an honorary doctorate from the Department of Theology of the University of Trnava in Slovakia. Pope Francis then sent Skorka, his long-time friend, a letter to congratulate him and recall his commitment to interreligious dialogue, faith, and human rights.
