Ada Zarceno is a specialist in didactics and curriculum design in the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA) Education Department in El Salvador. She has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from UCA and a master’s degree in didactics of teacher training from the University of El Salvador. She is currently one of the leaders of the UCA’s distance learning program for education students. Her work brings higher education to rural areas, empowering a traditionally marginalized population to begin professional teaching careers.
