Adelaide Madera is a professor of canon law and law and religion in the Department of Law of the University of Messina, Italy. She is also a member of the Academic Board of the Ph.D. School in Legal Studies at the University of Messina. Madera’s research activities focus on the interrelationship between law and religion, specifically church-state relationships, religious organizations and the law, and religious and civil marriage.
