Born and raised in San Miguel, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Alex Jimenez owns a kiosk that sells snacks and candy where customers can also recharge their mobile phones or public transportation cards. Jimenez opened his first kiosk from his home about five years ago and first received an individual loan from Protagonizar, a microfinance lender founded by Jesuits, in 2010. He has continued to work with Protagonizar since then, using his loans for purchasing new merchandise and expanding his business.
