Alexey Arbatov is the head of the Center for International Security at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations. Arbatov is a former scholar in residence and the chair of the Carnegie Moscow Center’s nuclear non-proliferation program. Arbatov is also a member of the governing board of theNuclear Threat Initiative and of the Monterey Institute Center for Nonproliferation Studies. He is one of the founders and leaders of the Russian-based Luxemburg Forum on the Prevention of Global Catastrophe.
