Ali A. Zainalabdeen is the president of the Turkmen Rescue Foundation (TRF), an NGO working to increase local and international awareness about the suffering of Turkmen in Iraq and worldwide. He is a member of an advisory human rights council in Iraq formed by a group of Iraqi NGOs specializing in human rights and working under the supervision of the Iraqi parliament. He is also the secretary of Iraqi housing and immigration, specializing in supporting internally displaced persons and refugees. Zainalabdeen is a medical doctor and has a Ph.D. in neurology.
