Ali Ahmed Karti is a Sudanese politician who served as foreign minister of Sudan from 2010 to 2015. Karti served at different legal and administrative departments inside and outside Sudan before he joined the Sudan Ministry of Justice as their state minister. He has encouraged the growth of interfaith partnerships and hosted community activities and events to build bridges of understanding, peace, and reconciliation. Karti's work has also focused on girls’ education, women empowerment, youth leadership, and community service programs. He was a participant in the International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum. Karti studied law at the University of Khartoum in Sudan, graduating with LLB (Hons).
