Alon Goshen-Gottstein is the founder and director of the Elijah Interfaith Institute, as well as a rabbi, writer, teacher, lecturer, and musician. Goshen-Gottstein has been deeply influenced by the Hasidic, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist communities. His work deals with interfaith relations and the engagement of world religious leaders. He was a participant in the International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum.
