Andrew Pierce is assistant professor in ecumenics at the Irish School of Ecumenics, Trinity College Dublin. He is former president of Societas Oecumenica: The European Association for Ecumenical Research, and between 2009 and 2019, he was a member of the Inter-Anglican Standing Commission on Unity, Faith and Order. His research focuses on Roman Catholic modernism and theological interpretations of place.
