Anna Halafoff is a sociology lecturer and member of the Alfred Deakin Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation at Deakin University in Australia. She is also a research associate of the Canadian Religion and Diversity Project and of the UNESCO Chair in Interreligious and Intercultural Relations–Asia Pacific. Her research interests include interreligious relations, governance and religious diversity, community engagement, countering violent extremism, and education about religions and worldviews. Halafoff was named a United Nations Alliance of Civilizations’ Global Expert in the fields of multi-faith relations, religion, and peacebuilding in 2011. She was a participant in the International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum.
