Anna Sofia Salonen is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tampere, Finland, and during fall 2018 a visiting postdoctoral researcher in the University of Toronto's Department of Sociology. Her research has examined religiously affiliated charitable food assistance from the recipients’ perspective, as well as the everyday ethics of food consumption and the virtue of moderation in affluent societies.
