Ariel Rivera is the vice dean of administration at Rafael Landívar University (Universidad Rafael Landívar) in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He served as the ambassador of Guatemala to the United States from 2000 to 2002 and was named permanent representative of Guatemala to the agencies of the United Nations in Geneva. Rivera was named dean of the School of Social and Political Sciences at Rafael Landívar University in 2004, and he became the vice dean of administration in 2007.
