Arun Kundnani is
an author and adjunct professor at New York University focusing on race,
Islamophobia, political violence, and surveillance. Born in London, Kundnani
moved to New York City in 2010 on a fellowship with the Open Society
Foundations. He is the author of The Muslims are Coming! Islamophobia, Extremism, and the Domestic War on Terror (2014) and The End of Tolerance: Racism in 21st Century Britain (2007). A former editor of the journal Race
& Class, he was educated at Cambridge University and holds a Ph.D.
from London Metropolitan University.
