Asma Lamrabet is a pathologist at Avicenna Hospital in Morocco. From 1995 to 2003, she was a volunteer doctor in public hospitals in Spain and Latin America, mainly in Santiago de Chile and Mexico. Lamrabet has also been involved in reflecting on women’s issues in Islam for many years. She has delivered numerous lectures on this topic at various conferences across the globe. In this regard, she focuses on rereading scripture from a feminist perspective. Lamrabet has been director of studies and the research center on women’s issues in Islam for the Mohammadia League of Scholars since 2011. She was a participant in the International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum.
