Bron Taylor is professor of Religion and Environmental Ethics at the University of Florida and a fellow of the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich, Germany. Taylor’s research and teaching focuses on the conservation of the earth’s biological diversity and how human cultures might evolve rapidly enough to arrest and reverse today’s intensifying environmental and social crises. He has taught at the University of California, Long Beach; University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh; University of Florida; and the University of Colorado. Taylor has served as president of the International Society for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture, helping found its affiliated journal and serving as its editor. Taylor earned his Ph.D. in Social and Religious Ethics from the University of Southern California.
