Carmen Carcelén is the coordinator of Casa de Acogida Juncal, a shelter for Venezuelans based out of her home in El Juncal, Ecuador. Carcelén is also a fruit and vegetable vendor in in Ipiales, a Colombian city close to the border of Ecuador.
