M. Cathleen Kaveny is the Darald and Juliet Libby Professor at Boston College, with appointments in both the Department of Theology and Law School. Her research and teaching focus on the intersection of law, religion, ethics, and morality. She serves on the masthead of Commonweal as a regular columnist. She is the author of books discussing law and ethics, including: Law’s Virtues: Fostering Autonomy and Solidarity in American Society (2012), and A Culture of Engagement: Law, Religion, and Morality (2016). She is also the chair of the Journal of Religious Ethics’ Board of Trustees.
