Cecelia Lynch is a professor of political science at the University of California, Irvine. She is the author or co-author of three books and the co-editor of two additional books. She has received two book prizes, several scholarship and mentoring awards, and fellowships from the Social Science Research Council, MacArthur Foundation, Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and the Henry Luce Foundation. Her articles on international relations theory, religion, ethics, and social movements have appeared in International Studies Quarterly, Millennium, Ethics & International Relations, International Theory, International Journal, Journal of Peacebuilding and Development, and numerous edited volumes. She is currently completing one book on tensions in Western (Christian) religious ethics on violence and drafting another on Islamic, Christian, and interfaith religious ethics in world crises. She co-edits the blog, “Critical Investigations into Humanitarianism in Africa,” which brings critical and religious perspectives into humanitarian debates regarding Africa.
