Christopher O'Connor received an M.A. in conflict resolution from Georgetown in 2010 after graduating from Washington and Lee University in 2008 with a B.A. in history. His research interests focused on conflict prevention mechanisms in sub-Saharan Africa, with an emphasis on business and development. In 2010 he was a Berkley Center summer research fellow conducting research on the role of faith-based organizations in building bridges between Muslim and Christian communities in Central Nigeria, where ethno-religious tensions have helped fuel conflict over the last decade.
