Rev. Dr. Clark Lobenstine is the executive director of the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington, where he has served since 1979. In this capacity, he promotes interfaith and social justice among Islamic, Jewish, Protestant, and Roman Catholic faith communities in the greater Washington area. Lobenstine completed his doctoral work on Christian-Muslim relations and works actively to bridge the east-west divide in the aftermath of 9/11. He is a founding member of the Washington Metropolitan Dialogue and served as the secretary to mayor Anthony Williams’ Interfaith Council. Lobenstine is an ordained Presbyterian minister, with a D.M. degree from McCormick Presbyterian Seminary, an M.Div. from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, and an M.S.W. from the University of Louisville; his B.A. is from St. John's College.
