Craig Abotassaway works with the Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program and is from Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation on Manitoulin Island in Ontario, Canada. He has a master’s degree in Social Work and does clinical counseling for schools in the area. Abotassaway is also a grandfather drum keeper and provides cultural teaching to students in all First Nations. He uses his cultural background to combine Western and Indigenous practices to support the students in his communities.
