Cristina Coronal, one of the founders of an artisanal craftsmanship company in Buenos Aires, is an entrepreneur who has worked with Protagonizar, a microfinance lender in the lower class Buenos Aires community of San Miguel. For Coronal, who began the business in the 1970s to support her family as a single mother, her main priority was initially to provide her children, nieces, and nephews with the financial means necessary to obtain a higher education, a goal that all five children realized. Coronal also hopes to raise her family's and community's awareness of the importance of social justice. Coronel obtained her first loan from Protagonizar in the early 2000s.
