Dave Gallant is a teacher and the program leader for Canadian and world studies, family studies, and First Nation studies programs at Espanola High School in Ontario, Canada. He worked with youth for over 10 years before starting at Espanola High School, where he’s worked for 15 years. He facilitated the growth of the Native studies program to include more comprehensive classes and curriculum. Gallant’s background in geography helps him integrate academic concepts with cultural practices to build a stronger school community and develop the skills of his students.
