David R. Smock, now retired, was vice president of the Center for Mediation and Conflict Resolution and director of the Religion and Peacebuilding Center at the United States Institute of Peace. His publications include, among others, Managing a Mediation Process (2008, with Amy Smith) and Interfaith Dialogue and Peacebuilding (2002, as editor).
