Davis Omanyo is the East Africa regional director of World Renew in Kenya, a position he has held since 2006. Omanyo started working with World Renew in 2000 at their home office in Grand Rapids, Michigan in the area of HIV/AIDS response. In 2001 he returned to Africa as the regional HIV/AIDS coordinator in the East and Southern Africa office. He then moved to be a country consultant in Uganda before taking his current position. Before joining World Renew, Davis worked in the Government of Kenya's Ministry of Health as a public health officer and at the Anglican Church of Kenya as a health coordinator. He holds a master’s degree in international public health from Boston University.
