Desh Girod is an associate professor in Georgetown University's Department of Government, as well as an affiliate of the Conflict Resolution Program and Georgetown's Center for Social Justice, Research and Teaching. Girod's research and teaching focuses how racial projects function globally and in the United States; he has also published on on the international and comparative political economy of developing countries, particularly foreign aid and the political economy of natural resources. Girod received his B.A. from Penn State University, M.Phil. from Trinity College in Dublin, and Ph.D. from Stanford University.
