Father Elisee Rutagambwa, S.J., is a moral theologian who teaches ethics at Hekima University College in Nairobi, Kenya. He previously served at the rector of Saint Ignatius High School in Rwanda. Born and raised in Rwanda, he lost some 40 relatives in the 1994 genocide. He was ordained a priest in 1998. Father Rutagambwa completed his Ph.D in 2011 from Boston College with the dissertation "Reclaiming the Actual Humanness of the Subject of Rights: Learned Lessons from Rwanda and Ethical Perspectives."
