Emily Greble is an associate professor of history and German, Russian and East European Studies at Vanderbilt University. A scholar of the modern Balkans, she writes and teaches on Islam in Europe, East European societies, and law and rights. Her books include Sarajevo, 1941-1945: Muslims, Christians, and Jews in Hitler’s Europe (2011) and Muslims and the Making of Modern Europe (2021).
