Esther Owolabi is a senior in Georgetown College (class of 2015) studying Government with minors in Education, Inquiry, and Justice and in African American Studies. She grew up near Chicago, Illinois, where she witnessed education disparities firsthand. Esther is deeply committed to education equity and access. On campus, she sits on the Provost’s Committee for Diversity and the Last Campaign for Academic Reform to expand diversity in the academic curriculum. Esther also serves as a coordinator for DC Reads and is a proud Patrick Healy Fellow.
