Francesca Drumm is an undergraduate student in the Walsh School of Foreign Service, class of 2021, planning to major in international politics and minor in French. Growing up in the post-conflict society of Northern Ireland, Drumm has witnessed the courage it has taken for citizens to break away from the political and religious partisanship of the past to become a veritable community of peace. Drumm has actively represented the voices of young people through her role as a youth advocate with the Children’s Law Centre in Belfast and as an elected member of the United Kingdom Youth Parliament. She is the founder of the #whatsfordinner Foundation, which aims to tackle the issue of child food poverty. Drumm was also recently selected as a 2017 Young Global Changemaker. As a 2017-2018 Doyle Undergraduate Fellow, Drumm looks forward to coupling her deep interest for social justice with interreligious engagement.
