Francis Okwera is a benefactor of OCER Campion Jesuit College in Gulu, Uganda, and has also worked in local government. His family gave 98.5 acres of land as a gift to the Society of Jesus, East African Province, which they had inherited as customary land from his father, Abononi Okumu. The land was donated to be used as the site for OCER Campion Jesuit College with the hope that the school’s construction and future operation would contribute to the local economy and to the education of Uganda’s young people. Okwera supervises workers on the school site, and his son Walter Ocra, along with several other family members, attends OCER.
