Francisco Orellana Lopez is a farmer and general store owner in Carasque, Nueva Trinidad, Chalatenango in El Salvador. Born in the village in the 1930s, he is considered a community elder. During the El Salvador civil war, he worked as a secret assistant to the popular guerilla army and led community organization efforts. He was a long-time member of the community directive and remains an active citizen. He is also an environmental advocate and has worked as a liaison between his community and various environmental organizations.
