Gabrielle Girgis is a
graduate student in the Department of Politics at Princeton University concentrating in political theory, as well as a summer 2016 doctoral fellow with the Religious Freedom Project. She is writing her
dissertation on the intellectual history of religious freedom and the continued
importance of this principle in pluralist liberal democracies. Her other
academic interests include the history of political thought, the intersection
of religion and politics in contemporary liberal societies, natural law ethical
theory, and feminist thought. Prior to studying at Princeton, she graduated with a B.A. in the program of liberal studies at the University of Notre Dame in 2012.
