Gerardo Cruz is a teenager attending the community classroom at “La Casilla” Youth Center in Montevideo, Uruguay. After dropping out of school several years ago he is now studying in order to enroll in Uruguay’s technical university and to learn a trade. Cruz has also been involved in the youth center's leadership development initiative.
