Gloria Oshkabewisens-McGregor, originally from Wikwemikong First Nation on Manitoulin Island, is a teacher at Shawanosowe School at Whitefish River First Nation in Ontario, Canada. She has been a teacher at Shawanosowe School for nearly 20 years and serves as the Ojibwe language and cultural immersion teacher. Oshkabewisens-McGregor also works with the Shkagamik-Kwe Health Centre to provide traditional forms of healing that promote spiritual, emotional, and cultural development. She enjoys working with the children in her classroom and encouraging them to be proud of their heritage and community.
