James P. O’Sullivan is a Ph.D. candidate and holds the Margaret O’Brien Flatley Fellowship in theological ethics at Boston College. He is currently writing a dissertation on human rights and development under the direction of David Hollenbach, S.J. He is also a part of the Berkley Center's Catholic Social Teaching and the Global Future of Development project. O’Sullivan has conducted research on theories of economic and social justice, the role of natural law discourse in a pluralistic world, and the interaction between Catholic social thought and contemporary political and moral philosophy. He earned his  B.A. in History and Philosophy from the University of Missouri. He also received an M.T.S. with emphasis on systematic theology from the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry.
