Father Javier Quirós Piñeyro, S.J., is the director of Fe y Alegría (Faith and Joy) Peru. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1972 and was ordained priest in 1983. Previously, he was rector of the Colegio San José de Arequipa from 1995 to 1999, president of Ignatian Education Consortium, vice president of the Association of Jesuit Colleges of Peru, and vice president of the American Federation of Jesuit Colleges (FLACSI). Fr. Quirós is an alumnus of the College of the Immaculate. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Theology and Spirituality at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, his bachelor's degree in Education at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, and a diploma in School Management from the University of the Pacific—Ruiz de Montoya University.
