Brother
Jean Marie Thior is the national secretary of the National Office of Catholic
Teaching of Senegal (Office National de l'Enseignement Catholique du Sénégal, ONECS) and a member of the Congregation of the Brothers of Saint
Gabriel. He has been coordinating activities related to Catholic teaching, including education and instruction, across the seven dioceses of Senegal since 2011. Thior also represents the interests of Catholic education in front of the minister of education. After attending Catholic primary and secondary schools in Senegal, he studied philosophy and theology at the Catholic University of Angers in France.
