Jeffrey Schloss holds the T.B. Walker Chair of Natural and Behavioral Sciences at Westmont College, where he is also the Director of the Center for Faith, Ethics & Life Sciences. His research interests include evolutionary accounts of human altruism, morality, and religious cognition, and theological and philosophical implications of religious theory. He has taught at the University of Michigan, Wheaton College, and Jaguar Creek Tropical Research Center. He is also the Director of Biological Programs for the Christian Environmental Association and has been a Danforth Fellow, an AAAS Fellow in Science Communication, and a Discovery Fellow. Schloss studied biology and philosophy as an undergraduate at Wheaton College, pursued post-baccalaureate study in the field of biology at the University of Virginia and the University of Michigan, and received his PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Washington University.
