Joshua Kurtz is the department manager for Global Policy and Advocacy at the International Rescue Committee (IRC). Before joining the IRC, he was a Fulbright Fellow in Brasov, Romania, where he taught at Transilvania University and conducted research on public memory in post-communist Romania. He holds a B.A. in literary arts and religious studies from Brown University.
